Board Meeting Summary - 01-18-2003

Your Board of Directors met on January 18. The meeting lasted for more that 4-1/2 hours as the Board worked through many of the mundane monthly issues which require their constant monitoring.

Financial statements as of December 31 were reviewed with no surprises to date.

During the operations review some of the more interesting topics included chimney inspections and cleaning which will be done in the next few weeks, snow removal and heat inspections. We can all help in the snow removal process by moving our cars when we see the plow doing our parking lots. This will give them the chance to push snow back to allow us to keep room for two cars per unit. Also, if you have more than two cars at your unit, please be considerate of your neighbors' priviledges and make other arrangements for parking extra cars. Heat inspections are made every Thursday. Please be sure to keep your thermostat at 60 or above and doors open under sinks or anywhere there are pipes exposed. This will surely pay big dividends during a frigid winter such as we are experiencing.

The Maintenance/Landscape Committee presented their proposal for the new year and also set a date of May 3 for a Spring Clean-up Day. May 17 would be our rain/snow date. The Committee is hoping for as much participation as possible and is looking into the possibility of a social event following the clean-up.
